Introduction & Objective: SCHWANNOMA, a benign tumor of nerve sheath origin, is commonly found in the head and neck, as well as flexor surfaces of the extremities.It can rarely occur in the breast and STOMACH with only a few cases being reported. Case Reports: The cases are: 1) a 57-year- old man with breast mass, 2) a 58 - year -old man with gastrointestinal complaints who were finally diagnosed as peripheral nerve SCHWANNOMAs.Conclusion: Clinical suspicion and histopathological confirmation are the keys to SCHWANNOMAs diagnosis. Surgical excision is the treatment of choice for such patients.

Schowannoma is a benign neural neoplasm of schwann cell origin. It is relatively uncommon, 25 to 48 percent of all cases occur in the head and neck. The most common location for oral neurilemomas are tongue, palate, floor of the mouth, buccal mucosa, gingiva, lip, vestibule and jows. Although the occurance of this tumor is rare, in floor of the mouth it is estimated that, this location is the third most common side of the oral cavity for this" involvement. It is an encapsulated sub mucosal mass which presents typically as an asymptomatic lump in patients of any age with a peak prevalence at the second and third decades of life. The present case was a 10 year old boy who was referred by his dentist for diagnosis atreatment of a mass in floor of his mouth with 3 month history.Details of clinical and histopathologic features of this case showed that the lesion was a classic SCHWANNOMA.Treatment of such cases are usually done by an excisional biopsy, as was performed here and the patient show also no recurrence after a year of treatment.

Background: Facial SCHWANNOMA is a rare tumor arising from any part of the nerve. Probable symptoms are partial or facial weakness, hearing loss, visible mass in the ear, otorrhea, loss of taste, rarely pain, and sometimes without any symptoms. Patients should undergo a complete neurotologic history, examination with documentation of facial and auditory function, specially C.T. scan or M.R.I. Surgery is the only treatment option although the decision of when to remove facial SCHWANNOMA in the presence of normal facial function is difficult. Case: A 19-year-old girl with all above symptoms in the right side except loss of taste is diagnosed having facial SCHWANNOMA with full examination, audiometric, and radiological tests. She underwent surgery. In follow-up facial function were mostly restored. Conclusion: The need for careful assessment of patients with Bell's palsy cannot be veremphasized. In spite of the negative results if still there is any suspicion, total facial nerve exploration is necessary.

SCHWANNOMA of the hypoglossal nerve is an uncommon benign neoplasm. We present a 49-year-old female patient with hypoglossal SCHWANNOMA presenting as a painless mass in the submandibular area.
